POPs Inventory Report 2020 in Cambodia

This document presents Cambodia’s updated national inventory of persistent organic pollutants prepared under a GEF/UNEP project to support implementation of the Stockholm Convention. It describes background trends in chemical use, institutional and legal frameworks, and methods combining site investigations, training, field surveys, and national statistics. The report inventories POP pesticides, PCBs, POP-PBDEs in e-waste and transport, PFOS in firefighting foams, and unintentionally produced POPs from industrial, energy, transport, open burning, and waste sectors. It summarizes existing monitoring programmes, technical infrastructure, and affected populations, highlighting data limitations, fragmented responsibilities, and the need for strengthened POPs management across relevant ministries and stakeholders.
