UNEP and Indigenous Peoples: A Partnership in Caring for the Environment

Introduction to the recently endorsed UNEP Policy Guidance on Indigenous Peoples Following the recommendation made by the UNPFII in 2006 to develop a policy on indigenous peoples, UNEP initiated its work in 2007 and is now able to introduce the participants at this year’s UNPFII to the final policy guidance document.
