Thought Starter: First International Conference of the Global Framework on Chemicals 2026

The first session of the International Conference is planned for November 2026, subject to financing. Three years will have passed since the adoption of the Global Framework on Chemicals (GFC), and this event will be an important opportunity to assess the progress being made towards the strategic objectives and targets with 2030 and 2035 on the horizon. Will we be on track? Politically, we anticipate that Ministers, CEOs and high-level delegates will be invited to highlight the successes that may have been achieved since the adoption of the Bonn Declaration and to re-energize their commitments and explore the challenges faced and how co-operation and collaboration may overcome them.
