Validated Terminal Review of the UNEP Project Coherent Integration of the Environmental Dimension of the Sustainable Development Goals in Regional and National Policy Frameworks in Africa (PDF-SDG-2021-06) 2022-2024

This report is a management-led Terminal Review of a UNEP project implemented between 2022 and 2024, titled ‘Coherent Integration of the Environmental Dimension of the Sustainable Development Goals in National Policy Frameworks in Africa’. The project's overall development goal was to enhance the capacities of countries in Africa to implement SDGs in a more innovative manner by integrating environmental sustainability and resilience into policies, strategies and action plans. The review sought to assess project performance (in terms of relevance, effectiveness and efficiency), and determine outcomes and impacts (actual and potential) stemming from the project, including their sustainability. The review has two primary purposes: (i) to provide evidence of results to meet accountability requirements, and (ii) to promote learning, feedback, and knowledge sharing through results and lessons learned among UNEP, project donors and the relevant agencies of the project participating countries.
