Report on Baseline Emission Inventory in Operation Terminal 3 of Tanjung Priok Port

This report presents a technical assessment detailing the baseline emission inventory conducted for Operation Terminal 3 of Tanjung Priok Port. Undertaken by the Center for Transportation and Logistics Studies of Universitas Gadjah Mada with support from UNEP and CCAC, the study quantifies pollutant emissions from maritime and land-based port operations. It identifies key emission sources—including ocean-going vessels, harbor craft, cargo handling equipment, and heavy-duty vehicles—while measuring pollutants such as NOx, CO, PM10, PM2.5, SO2, black carbon, and CO2. Using a bottom-up approach aligned with US-EPA methodologies, the report delivers an insightful breakdown of emission contributions by equipment type and activity mode. It also offers comparative data with other global ports and outlines scenarios for emission reduction. Strategic recommendations include improvements in data systems, port electrification, and operational adjustments.
