Badakhshan: Building community-based resilience to climate change and natural disasters

This Fact Sheet summarizes the pilot field demonstrations Afghanistan’s National Environmental Protection Agency (NEP) and UNEP are conducting in Badakhshan province. The work is aimed at increasing the capacity of local institutions and resilience of local communities through watershed restoration and improved water resource management.
