A Concept Note on the Provincial Dialogue on Climate Change Vulnerability and Risk Assessment (CCVRA) and Adaptation Planning

The UNEP Nepal GCF NAP project has four components, four outcomes, 10 outputs, and 37 outputs/activities. Component One of the project is mainly about the technical and institutional capacity building of the relevant stakeholders in all areas of the NAP process. Primarily, the capacity building of the stakeholders at the federal, provincial and local levels on climate change vulnerability and risk assessment and adaptation planning is viewed as a critical entry point in NAP formulation and its implementation. Therefore, the NAP project intends to organize comprehensive capacity development training on climate change vulnerability and risk assessment and adaptation planning at the provincial level, involving the multiple stakeholders from the province and local levels.
