The African Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN) holds its special sessions as and when necessary. The thirty-fifth meeting of the Bureau of the Conference at its meeting, held in Nairobi, Kenya, on 1 March 2024 agreed to hold the tenth special session of AMCEN from 3 to 6 September 2024 in Abidjan, Cote d’ Ivoire. An offer by the Government of Cote d’ Ivoire to host the tenth special session was accepted by the Bureau of the Conference
