With Resource Use Expected to Double by 2050, Better Natural Resource Use Essential for a Pollution-Free Planet

International Resource Panel Report says material resource use expected to reach nearly 90 billion tonnes in 2017, and may more than double from 2015 to 2050. Without greater resource efficiency, Sustainable Development Goals will not succeed. Resource efficiency policies and initiatives can cut resource use 26 per cent, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by an additional 15-20 per cent, by 2050.
