World Ozone Day: 16th September 2019, Bhutan

This document summarizes Bhutan’s observance of World Ozone Day on 16 September 2019, themed “32 Years and Healing,” organized with Dzongkhag officials, Scouts associations and students to extend awareness nationwide, including remote areas. Supported by the National Ozone Unit of the National Environment Commission Secretariat, materials were distributed and scout students trained. Officials, local leaders, teachers and students received briefings on the ozone layer, causes of depletion, health and environmental impacts, uses of ODS, protective actions and Bhutan’s commitments.
