Provisional Agenda - Multistakeholder Consultative Workshop on Solar Radiation Modification: Knowledge Sharing and Inclusive Exchange

In line with its mandate to keep the global environment under review, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) will convene a virtual multistakeholder consultative workshop on the current state of Solar Radiation Modification (SRM) science, along with its associated risks, uncertainties, and emerging societal concerns. This workshop, to be held on 9–10 September 2025, builds on the science-policy dialogue conducted in May 2025 in Geneva. While the Geneva dialogue primarily facilitated technical discussions among scientists and government representatives, the upcoming workshop aims to broaden participation by engaging a more diverse group of stakeholders, including civil society organizations, Indigenous Peoples, youth, Member States, and the scientific community.
