Market Study on Sustainable products prioritized for Sustainable Public Procurement in the Republic of Moldova - Executive Summary

This market study utilizes both quantitative and qualitative methods, primarily a questionnaire completed by 112 stakeholders from the private sector, to support the selection of two categories of sustainable goods, works, and services for pilot tenders. By assessing national market capacity to supply these prioritized sustainable items, the study identifies key domestic obstacles and opportunities tied to the transition toward sustainable public procurement. Furthermore, the survey specifically evaluates respondents' general perspectives on sustainable development while gathering critical data regarding the environmental criteria private companies adopt and the challenges they face in producing sustainable goods.
