The objectives of the Forum were to discuss: • Progress in the region in implementing resolutions and decisions adopted at the first and second sessions of the United Nations Environment Assembly of the United Nations Environment Programme; and identification of regional priorities for the third United Nations Environment Assembly (2017). • Pressing challenges regarding a transition towards a resource efficient and pollution free Asia and the Pacific Region. • Institutional arrangements for the Forum of Ministers and Environment Authorities of Asia Pacific.
