Theo and the Giant Plastic Ball

This document follows Theo, who is disappointed after being left off the school soccer team because his kicks often sent the ball in the wrong direction and the other players laughed at him during the tryouts. Theo and the Giant Plastic Ball is part of the Tunza Environmental Series for Children, sponsored by the United Nations Environment Programme. “Tunza” means “to treat with care or affection” in Kiswahili. Through creative literature, the United Nations Environment Programme aims to inspire children, parents, and teachers to care for the Earth and develop greater environmental awareness. Other titles in the series include Tessa and the Fishy Mystery, Tina and the Green City, Tore and the Town on Thin Ice, and Trishna and the Dream of Water.
