Application to Lead Paint Alliance - Government of Brazil

The Ministry of the Environment of Brazil submitted a request to join the Global Alliance to Eliminate Lead Paint, endorsing its objectives. The Ministry describes national efforts led by a multi-stakeholder working group to strengthen regulation and enforcement, including drafting a regulatory decree, proposing reduction of lead limits to 90 parts per million, expanding product coverage and establishing certification and inspection procedures.
