Abstract
This document presents an overview of the systematics and biological properties of toxinogenic fungi. Addressing both fundamental and applied aspects, it describes the distinct morphological features, classification criteria, and reproductive strategies that set fungi apart as a separate kingdom, highlighting their unique combination of plant-like and animal-like characteristics.
