Mapping of Waste Management Initiatives at Global and Regional Level and Major National Initiatives

This report presents an inventory and analysis of completed waste management initiatives implemented by international organizations between 2012 and 2016, with the objective of mapping global and regional efforts and identifying coverage across waste streams. It documents sixty-nine completed projects drawn from a broader set of one hundred eighty-eight initiatives implemented by seventeen international organizations, using waste streams and thematic areas as the analytical framework. The report describes the methodology for data collection and validation, outlines the distribution of projects by waste stream and implementing organization, and analyzes completed initiatives across thematic areas such as integrated solid waste management, hazardous waste, electronic waste, and waste water. It also summarizes key patterns and gaps observed during the assessment period.
