"Integrated SC Toolkit to Improve the Transmission of Information under Articles 07 and 15": Project Overview

This document outlines a 36-month initiative to enhance Parties’ compliance with the Stockholm Convention by improving the development, transmission, accessibility, and use of data in National Implementation Plans (Article 7) and National Reports (Article 15). It targets eight countries—Cambodia, Honduras, Kenya, Madagascar, Republic of Moldova, Papua New Guinea, Saint Lucia, and Ukraine—selected for geographic balance, differing implementing agencies, varied NIP stages, and compliance levels. Core outputs include a gender-responsive gap analysis, design and demonstration of an integrated electronic toolkit, and a replication strategy for scaling. The toolkit comprises POPs Inventory, NIPs Submission, Guidance, and Query modules, interfaces with the SC Electronic Reporting Tool, and links to national knowledge-management mechanisms. Governance foresees two online Steering Committee meetings with regional representation.
