Terminal Evaluation of the UN Environment Project: A regional focus on sustainable timber management in the Congo Basin

This report is a terminal evaluation of a UN Environment-GEF project implemented between 2011 and 2015.The project's goal “to strengthen sustainable management of forest ecosystems of the Congo Basin as a contribution of globally relevant biodiversity and ecosystem services, maintaining a solid foundation for the region’s sustainable development”. The evaluation sought to assess project performance (in terms of relevance, effectiveness and efficiency), and determine outcomes and impacts (actual and potential) stemming from the project, including their sustainability.
