Roadmap ODS 12: uma rota para a sustentabilidade

This document presents the summary of the second phase of the Advance SCP-Brasil project, which builds on earlier research into environmental labeling and carbon footprint assessment of Brazilian coffee. It outlines how the initiative expanded into technical assistance and broader discussions to strengthen the role of environmental labels in achieving Sustainable Development Goal 12, focused on sustainable consumption and production. Developed through a 2021 workshop on ISO labeling standards, the roadmap explains the relevance of type I and type III eco-labels, their alignment with a low-carbon economy, and their connection to each of SDG 12’s 11 goals. It highlights the importance of shared responsibility, transparency, life cycle analysis, and standardized methods, emphasizing environmental labeling as both a management tool and a driver of credibility, competitiveness, and measurable contributions to climate change mitigation.
