Youth Perspectives on Environmental Governance and Intergenerational Equity in the Stockholm+50 Process - Intervention from Catholic Youth Network for Environmental Sustainability in Africa - Stockholm+50: A Healthy Planet for the Prosperity of All – Our Responsibility, Our Opportunity

This statement presents youth perspectives delivered by a representative of the Catholic Youth Network for Environmental Sustainability in Africa and the Heads and Hands Initiative within the Children and Youth Major Group during preparations linked to the Stockholm+50 process. It reports that global youth organised task forces and consultations, including a youth assembly hosted in Kenya, to gather collective input. The intervention proposes integrating the World Environment Situation Room as a shared platform for environmental data and analysis while safeguarding the security of human rights defenders. It further calls for strengthening young people’s capacity to engage with financial institutions and development banks.
