People and Planet: Faith in the 2030 Agenda

This policy brief details the collaborative efforts of global actors to accelerate sustainable solutions for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Convened digitally during the coronavirus pandemic, the flight-free conference brought together approximately 200 participants across multiple learning hubs to enhance international partnerships. The analysis emphasizes that environmental sustainability underpins all development objectives, though current assessments reveal severe global deficiencies in water access and terrestrial ecosystem protection. To address these challenges, the document evaluates how incorporating cultural values, faith-based networks, and indigenous customs directly influences human behaviour, land management, and ecological conservation.
