Global Workshop “From NIPs to Implementation” 23-24 October 2018: Meeting Objectives

This document outlines the objectives and expected outcomes of a workshop, “From NIPs to Implementation,” held on 23–24 October 2018. It focuses on the project to update National Implementation Plans (NIPs) for persistent organic pollutants under the Stockholm Convention. Objectives include disseminating lessons learned and good practices across NIP development, update, and implementation; sharing main findings; and identifying national and regional opportunities to address remaining implementation challenges. Expected outcomes include feedback on the draft lessons-learned report, mapping challenges in implementing the Convention, and shaping potential next steps.
