Final EU4Environment work plan for 2019-2022: Ukraine

Abstract

This work plan provides a comprehensive framework for the implementation of the European Union for Environment programme in Ukraine between 2019 and 2022. The document consolidates specific activities across multiple results areas, excluding certain components led by the World Bank due to ongoing administrative procedures and contractual requirements. By employing a methodology of extensive national consultations, launch events in Kyiv, and regional assembly discussions in Brussels and Vienna, the text aligns programme objectives with local feasibility and available resources. The scope encompasses the integration of green economy principles into national policy while addressing the technical requirements for environmental governance and circular economy transitions. Key findings indicate a structured approach to resource allocation and stakeholder mapping, though the plan remains a dynamic document subject to updates as remaining contractual transitions are finalised. Ultimately, the publication serves as the final country-specific roadmap for enhancing environmental sustainability through coordinated international and national actions.
