Faith for Earth Initiative: Achievement Report 2021-2022

This document presents the 2021–2022 achievements of UNEP’s Faith for Earth Coalition, detailing partnerships with faith-based organizations, interagency engagement, and contributions to global processes such as UNEA 5.2, Stockholm+50, COP26/27, and COP15. It reports growth to 62 accredited FBOs, a robust Dialogue with 680 participants, and initiatives on environmental governance, sustainable lifestyles, ecosystem restoration, climate action, biodiversity, and pollution—including a multifaith push for a plastics treaty. It highlights Al-Mizan’s development, youth and gender programming, national hubs, capacity building and education, and finance ethics efforts like climate-responsible investment. The report frames faith actors as essential to addressing the triple planetary crisis.
