Abstract
This document outlines written submissions for intergovernmental consultations on nature-based solutions, aiming to build broad support across governments, civil society, the private sector, and local people; improve access to information, techniques, and financing; and strengthen transparency for bilateral and multilateral funding. It describes consultations convened transparently, inclusively, and with regional and gender balance to compile science-based best practices, including mangrove ecosystem service valuation and payments in southwest Cameroon, mangrove reforestation in the Douala estuary, biodiversity-linked livelihoods near Campo Ma’an National Park, and integrated land management for flood-risk areas in Rey-Bouba. It also lists implementation principles on well-being, biodiversity, scale, ecosystem services, land rights, inclusive governance, bottom-up management, local knowledge, and local economic benefits.
