Strategy for Private Sector Engagement

This document outlines the United Nations Environment Programme’s framework for engaging with the private sector through 2025. It explains the reasons for engagement, the intended impacts and transformations, and the pathways available to achieve them, addressing management and staff, private sector partners, member States, United Nations organisations, policymakers, and science and civil society groups. The framework is structured around four pillars: creating positive and measurable environmental and societal impacts; enabling transformation towards a sustainable society; sharing knowledge and scaling up innovative sustainability solutions; and mobilising resources to accelerate progress towards a sustainable future.
