Global Environment Outlook 6 - Chapter 23

This chapter assesses participatory processes and local practices that seek transformative futures and grounds the interventions proposed in Chapter 22 in existing examples. The following sections provide background information on interactions across governance levels in assessments conducted below the global level and on existing research examining how local practices can be combined to support the effective implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. The later sections describe the methodology used for the sixth Global Environment Outlook bottom-up analysis, followed by the assessment findings and the insights gained from the analysis.
