A report of Working Group I of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change - Summary for Policymakers

Abstract

This document summarises advances in understanding the human and natural drivers of climate change, observed climate changes, climate processes, attribution, and future climate projections, building on previous assessments and six years of new scientific evidence. It presents evidence of rising greenhouse gas concentrations, increasing global temperatures, sea level rise, and ice loss, concluding that most recent warming is primarily attributable to human activities. It also projects continued warming, changing precipitation patterns, more frequent extreme weather events, and long-term climate impacts under different emissions scenarios.
