Draft Medium-Term Strategy 2026-29 and Programme of Work and Budget for the Period 2026- 2027

In decision 6/7, the United Nations Environment Assembly of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) requested the Executive Director, through inclusive and regular consultations with Member States and, as appropriate, relevant major groups and stakeholders to ensure all views are accounted for, to prepare a draft programme of work and budget for 2026–2027 and a draft Medium-Term Strategy (MTS) for 2026–2029. These documents are to be presented for consideration and approval by the Environment Assembly at the seventh session, following established processes set out in paragraph 11 of Governing Council decision 27/2.
