Briefing on the online and resumed 5th Session of the UN Environment Assembly and its preparatory meetings

In October 2020, the UNEA Bureau agreed to a “two-step” approach due to the COVID 19 pandemic;

1. a 2-day online meeting of UNEA-5 on 22-23 February 2021, and
2. a resumed in-person meeting in February 2022. The online session will focus on a limited number of urgent administrative and procedural decisions (UNEP Medium Term Strategy and Programme of Work).
