Validated Terminal Review of the UNEP grant ‘South-South Cooperation to Build Capacity on Reducing Plastics Pollution in ASEAN Countries’ (SB-012354) 2024-2025, implemented under the ONE UNEP Plastics initiative (SMA ID 130677)

This report is a management-led Terminal Review of a UNEP grant implemented between 2024 and 2025 in collaboration with the Foreign Environmental Cooperation Center, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, People’s Republic of China. The grant's overall development goal was to strengthening capacities of ASEAN countries to reduce plastic pollution The review sought to assess grant performance (in terms of relevance, effectiveness and efficiency), and determine outcomes and impacts (actual and potential) stemming from the grant, including their sustainability. The review has two primary purposes: (i) to provide evidence of results to meet accountability requirements, and (ii) to promote learning, feedback, and knowledge sharing through results and lessons learned among UNEP, the China Trust Fund and the relevant agencies of the grant participating countries.
