Towards Strong Actions to Phase Out Highly Hazardous Pesticides

URGENT ACTION needed to phase off Highly Hazardous Pesticides; Human poisonings continue unabated – recent study shows 385 million farmers and workers are poisoned by pesticides each year (UNEP REPORT) .70 percent of 2000 farmers and workers interviewed in 7 countries said they suffered acute pesticide poisoning. Pesticides are omnipresent in the environment affecting biodiversity, soil, air and water.
