CONTRIBUTIONS OF COLOMBIA TO THE DRAFT MINISTERIAL DECLARATION OF UNEA-7.

This document outlines the contributions of Colombia to the draft ministerial declaration of UNEA-7, proposing integrated actions on the climate crisis and loss of biodiversity, highlighting the synergy between NDC and NBSAP, and calling for intersectoral territorial biodiversity management. It addresses minerals for the energy transition and responsible mining, plastics and marine and coastal ecosystems, debt-for-nature swaps and concessional financing, early warning systems in Latin America and the Caribbean, closure of landfills and methane emissions, joint work in the COPs and reform of the international financial system, and an international treaty on the non-proliferation of fossil fuels and human rights.
