Abstract

Soils perform crucial functions in the global carbon balance and recognition of the importance of soils and their sustainable management for addressing climate change adaptation and mitigation is increasing. Recent discussions under the Koronivia Joint Work on Agriculture (KJWA) particularly highlighted the positive role of soils for climate change adaptation and mitigation, agriculture and food security.
