Strategic Framework for Collaboration on Antimicrobial Resistance - Together for One Health

Abstract

This strategic framework outlines the background and context for collaboration between the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the World Organisation for Animal Health, the World Health Organization, and the United Nations Environment Programme to address antimicrobial resistance through a One Health approach. It explains the comparative advantages and catalytic roles of the four organisations in supporting Member States, civil society, the private sector, and other stakeholders. The framework also presents a theory of change that defines its goals, objectives, expected country-level impact, intermediate outcomes, and organisational functions. It is intended to guide and coordinate the joint efforts of the four organisations in advancing an integrated response to antimicrobial resistance.
