Major Group Positions regarding UNEP GC draft decisions

This document presents a statement from African civil society and major groups to the UNEP Governing Council/Global Ministerial Environment Forum in Nairobi (18–22 February 2013), calling for urgent decisions to implement Rio+20 outcomes. It requests stronger civil society participation in UNEP processes, including planning, agenda setting, and monitoring. It supports sustainable consumption and production policies that reflect environmental costs, and encourages use of Global Environment Outlook findings.
