Radioactivity in the South Pacific: UNEP Regional Seas Reports and Studies No. 40

This Report is the outcome of the Technical Group's efforts. The Report can be said to have three overall objectives: (i) to provide the general reader with some basic information needed to understand the scientific issues (Chapters 3 and 4), (ii) to provide an overview of the radiation environment in which Pacific people live (Chapters 5 7), and (iii) to give an evaluation, from the scientific point of view, of some of the issues that are presently of greatest concern in the Region (Chapters 8 and 9).
