Abstract

This written consultation submission presents the views of the National Scientific Practical Centre of Hygiene of the Ministry of Health of Belarus in response to a request for input on priorities for further work and potential international action on nineteen issues of concern related to chemicals and waste. The document outlines national positions on regulatory approaches, preferred types of international action, and priority sectors for each issue, including pesticides, heavy metals, endocrine-disrupting chemicals and chemicals in products. It identifies legislative gaps, limited technical capacity, fragmented monitoring data and absence of human biomonitoring as key constraints, and proposes strengthened regulation, coordinated international action, knowledge-sharing networks and enhanced risk assessment at national and regional levels.
