Africa Ecological Futures_Agenda

This document outlines the African Ecological Futures project, a collaboration between the African Development Bank and WWF, which seeks to examine how Africa’s rapid development and growth may affect the continent’s ecological resources and to identify ways to integrate ecological preservation with development needs. It presents a two-day scenario workshop in Cairo on February 28–March 1, 2015, managed by Pegasys Strategy and Development, where participants are expected to discuss trends and uncertainties shaping Africa’s ecological future and to develop plausible scenarios. The workshop is intended to clarify vulnerable ecological regions, identify leverage points for influencing development pathways, and engage institutions whose decisions affect Africa’s future.
