Abstract
This document reports on African climate change experts convening at the 13th African Ministerial Conference on the Environment in Bamako, Mali (June 20–25, 2010) to articulate Africa’s expectations for negotiations leading to Cancun in December 2010. It calls for an updated African common position grounded in current scientific and economic analysis and seeks a strengthened multilateral climate regime that balances mitigation and adaptation while aligning with development, poverty eradication, and security priorities.
