Major Groups and Stakeholders and UNEP:Opportunities for Engagement

This document outlines how Major Groups and other stakeholders can engage with the UN Environment Assembly process and describes elements of UNEP’s stakeholder engagement policy. It distinguishes engagement opportunities across formal forums and meeting formats, and explains practical modalities such as meeting access, seating arrangements, access to in-session documents and online systems, and procedures for oral statements and written inputs. It presents an engagement model based on nine major groups, including coordination mechanisms and daily briefings.
