Eastern Africa Regional Workshop on Wastewater Surveillance for Environmental and Public Health

The Eastern Africa Regional Wastewater Surveillance Workshop was organized by the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Health Organizations (WHO) under the Wastewater Surveillance for Africa Initiative (WWS), led by UNEP and funded by the European Union Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA). The meeting strengthened the capacity for wastewater and environmental surveillance (WES) across Eastern Africa, bringing together over 50 public health and environmental experts from 10 African countries.
