Bridging the Emissions Gap: The Role of Non-state and Subnational Actors - Pre-release version / chapter

This publication is part of a collaborative series of reports by more than 30 organisations released alongside the 2018 Global Climate Action Summit. The series showcases climate action by states, regions, cities, businesses and investors and assesses opportunities for greater impact. This pre-release report focuses specifically on the role of non-state and subnational actors in enhancing global climate ambition and bridging the emissions gap. It examines mitigation actions by cities, regions, businesses and other actors, assessing their potential contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and reviewing existing initiatives, evidence and research on their scale and scope.
