Action plan for regional cooperation on chemicals and waste management in Latin America and the Caribbean 2019-2020 -Partial progress report

This document provides a partial progress report for the 2019–2020 regional action plan on chemicals and waste management in Latin America and the Caribbean, detailing objectives, activities, and implementation status as of September 2019. It organizes work into six main topics: governance and coordination, knowledge and monitoring, priority issues under the SAICM Global Plan of Action, implementation of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions, mercury and lead management, and waste management. Across these areas, 33 specific actions were identified, ranging from awareness campaigns and training programs to workshops, webinars, and regulatory cooperation efforts.
