This document presents Canada’s first draft comments and proposed edits on the ministerial declaration for the sixth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly, where ministers meet in Nairobi to take effective, inclusive and sustainable multilateral action on the triple crises of climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution. It reviews preambular and operative paragraphs, drawing on the Rio Declaration, the 2030 Agenda, the Paris Agreement, the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, IPCC findings and multilateral outcomes.
