The National Report on the State of the Environment of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2006-2011

This environmental assessment document offers a comprehensive analysis of ecological developments in Kyrgyzstan over a six-year period. Within preparation of «The National Report on the State of the Environment of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2006-2011», a situation analysis of environmental parameters in the Kyrgyz Republic was conducted in following areas: air pollution and ozone depletion, climate change, water resources, biodiversity, land resources, agriculture, energy, transport and waste. Developed in alignment with international standards, the findings deliver critical insights into the country’s environmental challenges and progress, serving as a foundation for long-term socio-economic and ecological planning. This report is a joint contribution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the UNDP-UNEP Poverty and Environment Initiative into the national process of the implementation the global decisions made during the Rio + 20 Conference.
