Annotated Provisional Agenda - Ad hoc open-ended working group on a science-policy panel to contribute further to the sound management of chemicals and waste and to prevent pollution

The first part of the first session of the ad hoc open-ended working group was held in Nairobi in a hybrid format, with online participation, on 6 October 2022. During the meeting, the working group agreed to apply, mutatis mutandis, the rules of procedure of the Environment Assembly to its work and adopted the rules of procedure as outlined in document UNEP/SPP- WP/OEWG.1(I)/INF/2. The working group also elected seven of the 10 members of its Bureau, including its Rapporteur. Representatives also had the opportunity to present initial views on the establishment of a science-policy panel, as well as on the timetable and organization of work of the ad hoc open-ended working group.
