Terminal Evaluation of UNEP Project “Coherent Implementation of the Environmental Dimension of Sustainable Development Goals at the Regional and National Levels in the Pan-European Region”, SMA ID 41008 (2020 – 2023)

This report is a Terminal Evaluation of a UNEP project implemented between 30 June 2021 and April 2023. The project’s overall development goal was to strengthen the capacities of both national authorities and the relevant regional fora and process to integrate environmental dimension in the 2030 Agenda implementation. The evaluation sought to assess project performance (in terms of relevance, effectiveness and efficiency), and determine outcomes and impacts (actual and potential) stemming from the project, including their sustainability. The evaluation has two primary purposes: (i) to provide evidence of results to meet accountability requirements, and (ii) to promote learning, feedback, and knowledge sharing through results and lessons learned among UNEP, the donors and the relevant agencies of the project participating country.
