Unpacking Policy Coherence in Environmental Governance - Report: Consultative Workshop, IEH-Geneva, 16-17 November 2023

This is a workshop Report on Policy coherence for strengthening Environmental Governance that brought together stakeholders striving to link environmental governance as a key enabler to achieve sustainable development. The programme included an exchange on the different interpretations of policy coherence and integrated approaches and tools for enhancing coordination, cooperation that have been developed to support member states. The workshop participants shared experiences and explored how coherent implementation of actions can help to address the three planetary crises. The consultation explored some challenges such as a lack of coherence in policy development and will discuss the role of science policy interface in promoting policy coherence. This workshop was organised by the Environmental Policy Unit from Law Division, UNEP.
